I’ve been in love with marketing since I was a seventh-grader running a middle school bake sale.

Fast-forward a few decades, and this former cookie seller has made a successful career helping companies scale to billion-dollar businesses.

I’ve held marketing executive roles at Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing tech companies. I've guided product launches around the globe and just set up a thriving business in the Middle East.

Now, I’m just a Sixx Cool Mom balancing it all. My ‘day job’ is as a certified GTM Advisor to private equity portfolio companies. My ‘weekends’ are spent giving back to my local community by helping female entrepreneurs launch.

Why woman-owned small business? Because there are so many ‘marketing consultants’ out there that aren’t qualified and are taking advantage. I want to protect small business owners by giving them vetted business advice.

I was a digital marketing strategist before ‘digital marketing’ was a thing.

For the past 15+ years, I’ve led digital marketing programs for regional and national companies, associations, and collectives. I joke that everyone needs marketing — even cows and utility companies.

Now, I help organizations of all sizes with social media management, integrated campaigns, and content strategy. Digital marketing is not all selfies and promos. I look at digital through a business lens, translating goals into effective online marketing initiatives.

The digital space is always expanding. I advise clients on day-to-day digital operations, how to show up in AI search, build thriving online communities, and adapt quickly when algorithms change.

Marketing Strategy is a comprehensive, long-term plan for reaching potential customers, what unique value your business offers them, and how you will deliver your products or services.
Marketing strategy is your foundation — without it your house could collapse.
A marketing plan is the roadmap that outlines the type of customers you want to reach, where they are, and what you will do to connect with them.
Marketing plans are generally refreshed every 6 or 12 months.
Social Media is one channel to use for promotion. It is a very small piece of the full marketing spectrum.
Marketing has four fundamental ‘Ps’ if you remember economics from High School—product, price, place, and promotion. These pillars intersect to create unique value for both your customers and your business.
This is a trick question.
Many scammers and DIY marketers with a Canva account are selling marketing services online. While marketing is a loosely regulated profession, small business owners need to be wary of whom they trust with their hard-earned money.
When selecting a marketing partner, please inquire about their work experience in marketing, including job titles, companies, and any marketing-specific education, training, or certifications they may have. You want to see that they worked in a marketing role at a legitimate company before freelancing or consulting.
Please be careful out there! If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
We all have things we are good at and things we aren’t.
I would be the world’s worst engineer. Do not drive over any bridge I may construct.
When do I call in a pro?
- If marketing is giving you stress hives, then it’s time to reach out.
- You’ve been selling but no one is buying, it’s time for a pro to see what’s up.
